Foundations of Faith: What is Confirmation?

Posted in Meditative Moment, Foundations of Faith by stbenedicts on September 10th, 2008

Beginning September 14, 2008, St. Benedict’s will begin its new adult christian formation classes.  The Foundations of Faith class, led by Rev. Stuart Higginbotham will examine what it means to be Episcopal and provide an overview of what it means to be part of the Anglican Communion.  Secondarily, this class will help people meet the requirements for confirmation, reception or reaffirmation.

This week’s podcast examines the history, purpose and meaning of Confirmation within the Episcopal Church. St. Benedict’s E-Cast is an audio ministry of St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Smyrna, Georgia.  We hope that these short “meditative moments” meet you where you are and give you an opportunity for reflection and relaxation in the middle of your busy, hectic life.
